We met at a weekly bonfire at a friend’s house and soon we were in the same circle of close friends. We went on adventures, mostly organized by the photographers in our group. After about a year of knowing each other, he asked me out on a date on May 16th, 2010 at 1 o’clock in the morning after another adventure and games night. Since then, we have grown more in love, and he asked me to marry him on May 16th, 2011. We had gone to the movie Thor and were looking at books in Barnes and Noble when Josh slipped away. A few minutes later someone over the PA system asked me to go to the customer service desk. When I arrived at the desk in the middle of the store, there was a present for me. Apparently, I was supposed to open the present right there so Josh could sneak up on me, and so his mom could video tape my reaction. However, I went to go find him so he could see me open whatever the present was. I found him in one of the side aisles and he told me to open the present. Inside was an empty ring box. I looked up to see him on one knee holding the ring of my dreams. And he asked me to marry him, with very little words; those who know Josh know he has a habit of not saying a lot. We set the date for May 18th, 2013 because we had hoped we would both be out of college by then. However, life doesn’t always work out the way we plan. Josh is at Ivy Tech, studying Automotive Technology and still has a couple of years left to get his degree. I am graduating this May, my commencement ceremony is 3 days before the wedding! I will have a degree in English with a concentration in Media Communication and a minor in Journalism. Joshua is currently working at Evans Toyota and Auto Zone seven days a week as well as going full time to school. I am currently a nanny five days a week, as well as doing an internship in the Community Relations and Marketing department at Lutheran Hospital. I am also taking 3 other classes. Joshua and I are so excited to start our life together and we hope you will be able to join us for this special day.
